Honored on Republic Day for meritorious contributions to Art and culture Mr. Surendra Seth is truly multifaceted personality. Graduate Mechanical Engineer by qualification, he is an inspiring speaker, writer and artist with leaning towards music, drama, poetry, literature and a very popular TV personality, famous for TV Quiz Shows Parakh, Kasauti, Lok Akhde Ne and TV Documentaries presented from Doordarshan.

Literature and Print Media :

His four published books “ Ek Kahani Ek Kiran “ , Ek Jyoti Ek Kiran “ , “Ek Anubhav Ek Kiran “ and “ Ek Bhav Ek Kiran “ present to the reader keys for self and spiritual development through motivating stories. Since 2006 He is associated with Dainik Bhaskar, Punjab as Managing Editor and Editorial Adviser.

Electronic Media and Doordarshan :

Accredited with Doordarshan & AIR, as top presenter Mr. Surendra Seth has authored and presented over 1000 programs on a variety of subjects with heart touching style. As a well established live commentator of national and international events he made his mark while covering Bus Yatra of former Prime Minister Sh. Atal Behari Bajpai to Lahore and Lord Jagan Nath Rath Yatra at Puri apart from many other national & international events.

Spiritual and Individual Development :

As initiator of Saraswati Mission, he has organized several Gyan Yajnas and Yogabhyas Camps under the patronage Chinmaya Mission and Divine Life Society. He himself excels in conducting programs like Stress Management, Communication, Human Relations, Leadership, Time Management and Meditation and is invited all over India as Motivational Speaker, Soft Skills and Human Resource Development Trainer. Fine Arts and Culture : His services as Co-coordinator of SPIC MACAY, Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among Youth and Vice President of Baba Harballabh Sangeet Mahasabha are a pointer to his commitment towards Indian heritage, music and literature.

Oration and Anchoring:

In recognition of his multilingual oration and understanding of ancient principals of Mind Management and Man & Business Management Mr. Surendra Seth is invited as Key note speaker at the Conferences of Rotary International, IMA, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Engineering, Educational & Management Institutes, social and literary Organizations and has addressed over 500 conferences all over India and abroad.

Social and Personal:

Member Governing Council of DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar since inception, Mr. Seth Has served Jalandhar Gymkhana, Kala & Film Society, Kushath Ashram, and GD TB Hospital as office bearer and contributor for the last 40 years. He served Indian Jaycees as National Director for Training in 1979 after serving as President of Jalandhar Jaycees in 1978. For Earthquake victims of Gujrat He assisted in raising Rs.7.81 lacs with personal family contribution of Rs.1.11 Lacs. Mrs. Vineeta Seth, a very active social worker and Past Chairman of Inner wheel Movement enthusiastically supports him in all his activities. Two sons Tanuj, a brilliant army aviation officer and Anuj, a software engineer & designer complete the family.

Rotary International & Rotary Foundation:

A Eight Sapphire Paul Harris Fellow, winner of Service Above Self, Rotary Foundation Meritorious Service and RI Presidents Citation Award, Rtn. PDG Surendra Seth has been Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Asia Zones 4 & 6 A for 2011-12 & 2012-13 and Regional Coordinator Public Image Resource Group for Asia Zone 4 & 6A during 2010-11, Strategic Advisor to Rotary Foundation 2005-2008, PDG Surendra Seth was the first District Governor of RI District 3070 in 1984-85. During the Year he formed 13 new clubs, enhanced Rotary Foundation contribution by 300%, created first District Awards manual and the District Nomination Committee Constitution. Since then Served as RI President’s Rep, Delegate to Council on Legislation in 1995, Area Representative to Royal Commonwealth Society, National Polio plus Committee from 1984 to 1995, Chairman RI Director’s Nominating Committee in 1997, Alternate RI Director Nominee 2001 and Convener Nominating committee for 2009-10. “Roof A School Project during his tenure as Coordinator for Literacy Promotion Task Force for Asia Zone V during 2000-01 resulted in renovation of hundreds of Schools and opening of 30 Schools under National Child Labor Schools Project in Punjab. As Coordinator Hunger Task Force for Asia Zone V during 2001-02 He popularized the project “Celebrate a Memory Feed a Mouth” Served as Trainer and Presenter to six Zone Institutes, four times District Trainer. PDG Surendra Seth has addressed over 250 District Conferences and Assemblies. Through The Rotary Foundation Mr. Surendra Seth has organized grants of US $ 80,000 for a hospital at Ludhiana, US $ 100,000 for an Eye Hospital at Udhampur, Rotary Dialysis Center, Ultra Sound Scanning Center, Computer Center for Deaf & Dumb Children, School reconstruction Project and Breast Cancer Detection Center at Jalandhar, Intra Ocular Lens project worth Rs. 16 Lacs at Amritsar and TB Eradication Project worth Rs.29 Lacs at Dharamsala to name a few. Serving Clubs through Rotary Foundation Programs is his passion.
