Club President’s Message
To my Rotarian Friends, and Friends of Rotary –
The opportunity to serve the Rotary club of Jalandhar as The President of this Esteemed Club is a great privilege and honour for me, rather I would say, it was same for all my respected Past Presidents and Future Presidents, who are dedicated to work for the community welfare and service for the ever-changing world in which we live.
My theme for my club family for this year 2020 – 21 is very simple and practical
Participate, Enjoy & Love Rotary
The world is definitely going through one of the toughest times in the history because of the pandemic Covid 19, and perhaps all of us throughout the world have been caught unprepared. Hence the thinking, working and perception towards life of almost every individual including us, is changing as per the need of the hour and the world is slowly settling and adapting to the new routines. The society may have to or already facing the issues of professional uncertainty, economical recession, health and mental depression and hence the role of Us, Rotarians, becomes more challenging than before. I firmly believe, being Tough Rotarians, we will successfully sail through this testing time with our hardwork, experience and club members support, since Rotary Club of Jalandhar is not only a Club, it’s a Family.
Placed in the leadership position this year, I will strive to involve all members to enjoy Rotary activities, increase membership, strengthen our Rotary image and create a positive change in communities. Our unique strength arises from the special relationship that we have built through our regular meetings, involvement in projects and participation in district events over the period of last approximately 70 years. Our authenticity shines through such interactions and trust in each other enables us to achieve great things together as a team!
I’m privileged to have a board of experienced Past District Governors, Past Presidents and enthusiastic Rotarian team mates who are always eager to guide and serve. With a very efficient and enthusiastic Club Secretary, Rotarian Mandeep Singh, we shall all connect and engage in meaningful projects that will create an impact towards important and worthy causes for the community.
Being a member of Rotary Club of Jalandhar since 2009, and working on several projects at different Club positions, I feel proud to be connected to such a positive force for good. With all club members support and participation, I look forward to a great Rotary year ahead.
